Meet The Family 5 Times Richer Than The Top 8 Billionaires Combined

The notorious Rothschild family—whose name has become synonymous with elusive power— is apparently worth as much as the top wealthiest billionaires in the world.

Last week, Oxfam international released a damning report revealing that the top 8 wealthiest men on the planet were worth more than the bottom half of the entire global population—about 3.6 billion people.

But what the report fails to mention is that there is an even wealthier—and more elusive—group of people who own many, many times more than a handful of multi-billionaires.
Despite the 8 wealthiest men’s combined net worth totaling at over $400 billion, this pales in comparison to the estimated worth of the Rothschild family.
According to Investopedia, the family’s net worth is estimated at over $2 trillion!
That’s nearly five times as much as the 8 billionaires listed by Oxfam.

Although one might argue that people like Bill Gates earned their wealth by providing value to others, the Rothschild family, on the other hand, has a much more sinister history.
In their case, vast sums of wealth were accrued through hundreds of years of manipulative banking strategies that Mayer Amschel Rothschild pioneered in the 18th century.
Through the disciplined control of his five sons, Mayer was able to expand his financial empire, manipulating historic events like the French Revolution in order to profit from destabilization.
Today, the Rothschild dynasty has a claim over a massive breadth of wealth, significant portions of which are held in private companies/assets, extending their influence beyond the limitations of paper currency.
According to Investopedia:
…their holdings span a number of diverse industries, including financial services, real estate, mining, energy and even charitable work. There are a few Rothschild-owned financial institutions still operating in Europe, including N M Rothschild & Sons Ltd in the United Kingdom, and Edmond de Rothschild Group in Switzerland. The family also owns more than a dozen wineries in North America, Europe, South America, South Africa and Australia.
The estimated $2 trillion net worth of the Rothschild family would make that nearly 5 times the collective wealth of Oxfam’s “top 8” list, and arguably 3/4 of the total global population.
