WHY YOU SHOULDN’T DRINK WATER IMMEDIATELY BEFORE AND AFTER MEALS?

The natural urge every human has is to drink water, so most of the people drink water when they are thirsty. But, there are some things when it comes to drinking water that everyone should know. Do not drink water before, during, and after the meal! It will weaken your digestive system through diluting the gastric juice, because it is related to the strength of the digestive system.

We all sometimes drink medicines prescribed to be taken strictly before meals. Do that at at least one hour before a meal and limit the quantity of water. Drinking water as soon as you have finished your meal will directly affect the food quality and the strength of your digestive system. No matter what food you take, water will work like a coolant on it. Doing this regularly will only give you extra pounds.

When should we drink water?
Always consume water 30 minutes after you finish your meal. It will give you a feeling of satiety and quench your thirst. You can drink as much water as you want in one or two hours because the digestion process will be over by this time.
If you can’t control your thirst and want to drink water between the meals, try to drink it in minimal amounts. Make sure it is at room temperature because chilled water can make digestive enzymes inactive, which later leads to toxic waste build-up in your body.
Try not to drink aerated and caffeinated beverages during the meals because it can cause acid reflux or a hiatus hernia!
