Those who are constantly vigilant, who practise Dhamma, day and night, whose minds are directed towards liberation;their defilements are fully eradicated.
Don’t get caught up in comparing, do this instead.
Realize that it is in our nature to compare ourselves to others. The ability to weigh situations against one another helps us gauge just how productive we are being in life. However, realize that when we over-compare and do it too much. it inspires envy instead of motivating people individually to be the best that they can be. It doesn’t allow us to be happy for one another when we achieve our goals.
But think of it this way. When you hear about someone else’s accomplishment, you are only hearing one side of the story. You aren’t actually in the know about their whole life. And guess what? Everyone’s life has down sides to it. What you see isn’t necessarily reality.
Ask yourself if what they have is truly what you want. Realize that if you weren’t you, you would be miserable.
